Elevate Performing Company

Fall Performance

Thursday, October 15th from 5:30-6:15

Hansen Park

Costumes

  • Costumes will arrive at the beginning of next week

  • We will hand out your dancer’s costume in class

  • You will take them home and keep them safe until the performance

  • Your dancer should come completely dressed in their costume for the show, however I highly recommend wearing a cover up over the costume to keep any stains off of it

  • Costume Care:

    • Do not wash in the washing machine, spot clean only

    • Only wear on the days of the performance

    • Do not eat or drink in costume

    • If something irreparable happens to the costume, you’ll need to purchase a new one for the winter performance ($65)

Shoes

  • Wear your technique shoes from class. We won’t all have matching shoes, but I’m not too worried about that!

Hair

  • No matter the length of hair of your dancer, please secure their hair back and out of their face; this helps us see your dancer’s face

  • There is no set hairstyle, but buns or ponytails are always good

  • Use hairspray and bobby pins to make sure the hair does not fall down

Makeup

  • No makeup required, but dancers are welcome to wear natural looking makeup if they choose

COVID Adjustments

  • Only immediate family members are allowed to attend (Sorry, no grandparents!)

  • Bring a picnic blanket to seat your family and observe social distancing

  • Ages 9 and over should wear a mask unless actively dancing

  • Please do not come if anyone in your family has been sick; if your child misses due to illness, they can wear their costume to class and perform for you

  • You can film and share the video with friends and family who were not able to attend

Schedule for the evening

  • 5:30pm Dancers arrive in costume, parents and families can play until 5:50

  • 5:35pm Dancers do a quick dress rehearsal

  • 5:50 Families set up their picnic blankets (please do not do this early so dancers get a true practice time before they have an audience) Dancers sit with parents until it is their turn

  • 6pm Performance begins

  • 6:15 Performance ends

Cost

  • It is free to attend, but you can donate at the end to our new scholarship program, The Steve Comtois & Susan Kathleen Cropper Scholarship Fund via cash, check or on file credit/debit card.
